Sara- Found Photos and textiles
·      Lisa Kokin Jewish- thread based imagery. Intricate sewing on the surface. She appropriates the imagery
o   Weird combination of creating new memories of the discarded photos.

o   Persona- layers images and puts another photograph behind the cut out photograph
o   Love Always Juanita- Starts to play with books.
·      Amy Friend- Brock University in Ontario
o   Found photographs, punched holes in them and illuminates them from behind.

o   Mystical in nature, titles them from notes on the photographs
o   Before the War
o   Uses original sized images
o   On the lake at sunset
o   Supppppppperrrr tiny holes poked in these images

o   Questions 3 dimensionality of imagery. She creates new landscapes

o   Step, collages her personal series is black and white with color
o   She works with magazines primarily with black and white and black and white
o   She is trying to connect and question our relationship with nature.

o   Taking pictures of where berlin wall used to exist, she pixelates photograph cross-stitch thread technique. She creates the Berlin wall with this process.

o   She would probably take forever on these images, very intense in detail
o   New Mexico or Arizona, chronologically moments through her life and when she remembers things

o   Rag Face, traditional Korean mask. She photographs herself and sews on top of them except for the eyes

o   Primarily performance artist

o   Flows old images together, no reprinting, these are exact images he appropriates. Framing reality
o   Look at the tumblr, wonder if he goes to an area in search of similar areas

o   Collage work, meticulously cutting and flipping photographs. Has pictures of the backs too, Hand cut, marked, and taped.
o   Distortion series.
o   Very cool, shift work as well.
o   Gives the images so much more emotion.
·      Liz Orton, London, Deltiologies Series.
o   She works with postcards of place

o   Very cool work
o   Repeated postcards in different locations
o   Color is really great that the color tone technique is so rich and similar.
